Platform Bed

Designed and built for a small studio apartment.   A single quick sketch, and off to work.  Walnut with integrated headboard and side tables,  large drawers below.  About 2006.

1. The scope of this project included building and installing custom sized closet doors with mirrors, fabricating heavy 1 3/4" thick Jambs, hanging the doors on invisible Soss Hinges.  Making pilasters, cabinets, cabinet doors and drawers, built in shoe closet and electrical meter cover, removable condenser panel at window, bathroom double vanity, and installation of all hardware. All this to tight tolerances in tight quarters and finished with crown and base moldings.   The successful completion of this project is attributable only to the close network, and constant communication between myself, the General contractor and the Architect
