Ipe Deck in Brooklyn
Building Decks is not my usual thing, but for a very good client I will make exceptions.
The base is made from heavy gauge steel studs that span from parapet to parapet. This keeps all weight bearing elements off the roof itself. All other parts are made from Ipe. The 5/4" thick decking is installed with no visible hardware, and full length boards were used to eliminate seams. Stainless steel hardware throughout.
